Name: Ashelin
Age: 22
Gender: female
Alignment: good
Krimzon Guard Rank: governor of Haven City
Personality: Case in point, Ashelin is straight-forward, down to earth, no-holds barred... to be perfectly nice about it, she's a bitch and proud of it. But in all honesty, she's had to be just to stay ahead in the world. The only child of the infamous Baron Praxis, she has a lot hanging over her head and even more to prove to a city that doesn't really entirely trust her. She tends to hide someone who is honestly not as bad as she puts on behind a tough exterior, though there are those who have gotten through to her. She and Torn have been close for a long time, and there have been rumors floating around for months, especially after it was revealed that Torn was the rat in the Underground who had been acting to protect her from her own father. Despite all her bluster, she is genuinely a kind person who cares a great deal about helping those less fortunate. It is exactly why she spearheaded the rebuilding effort after her father's death, and why she has made such an effort to elect a council and show others that the apple is capable of falling very far from the tree. She can come off as very snippish and sharp. Moreover, she does not take betrayal well.
Physical Appearance: Tall, built to kill, and tough. She's a very attractive young woman with red dreads and the traditional KG tattoos on her face, ears, and neck. Wears a lot of red and black. Lots of leather. See the picture for more.
Strengths: A natural leader and a skilled tactician, capable of taking control of most situations with ease and with enough know-how to plan any kind of . An expert markswoman, she is extremely skilled in the use of most firearms. A talented public speaker. Highly trained in hand-to-hand combat, can definitely take care of herself in a fight. Skilled gymnast.
Weaknesses: Number one, she's a total hothead, known for going off and acting without thinking. This has, on more than one occasion, gotten her way in over her head. Her concern for her friends outweighs her concern for her own well-being. A fair bit of uncertainty to her these days in her capacity as the head of the city. While very tough, she's not particularly durable if you can get her down.
Brief History: ((Note: this history is per this rp. This is not canon save for up to the game itself.))
Ashelin, the only daughter of Baron Praxis, was born into a city that, at the time, was at peace. To some extent, in any case. King Damus was the ruler of the city then, and Praxis his most trusted general. Up until Ashelin was seven, this was how things went. Eventually, Praxis managed to depose Damas in a coup and force him into hiding somewhere in the city. A devastated Ashelin was forced to watch as the city fell apart before her very eyes, a distrustful city unsure of how they would survive a growing Metalhead threat, especially in such troublesome times. For a few years, she watched as the Baron - with his own general, the "Widowmaker" Lesca - tried to enforce his rule and convince people to believe he was in the right.
When she was ten, a young Lesca was badly injured in a Metalhead attack. After her recovery, she was placed into a different role... both advisor to the Baron and as Ashelin's governess. It was under Lesca that Ashelin learned to fight and defend herself, picking up both self-defense and tactical strategy from the former Krimzon Guard general. It was also from Lesca that she learned the extent of her father's plan, and while she never agreed with him, she didn't so much disagree with his wish to remove the Metalheads and change the city for the better. She entered the Krimzon Guard at the ground level when she was sixteen under Lesca's advice, and proceeded to climb her way up the ranks.
It was when he started performing vile experiments on "subversives" in his prison that things changed. He had found Damas and successfully ousted him from the city, and any followers he captured were subsequently tortured in an attempt to turn them into a "perfect weapon." Ashelin was eighteen, and enamored with the twenty-four year old commander of the KG named Torn... and both of them agreed that her father needed to be stopped. However, where Ashelin decided to stop him from within, Torn left the KG to start up the Underground movement... further infuriating the Baron. Ashelin went on to become a captain in the KG.
Ashelin has since been spying on her father's actions and passing information to Torn whenever she can get away from the palace long enough to do so.
Extras: Yes, she is in love with Torn. What, did you think I'd say she wasn't? Deep down, she is still reluctantly loyal to her father... what daughter wouldn't be?

Sample Post: Work. Since when had she dreaded it so? Once upon a time, she would've been overjoyed to have been spending her time working on getting Haven City worked into a place where people could live again without fear. But since her father's defeat, Precursors rest him, things had been nothing but work. Hardly a moment's respite. She wanted desperately to find Torn just to get some relaxation time... or to just go down to the gun course and blast the ever living hell out of every target that came into her line of vision. She knew, though, that she would not be granted such a respite. There was far too much work to be done. One slender hand lifted to her temple and rubbed a sore spot there, thinking about everything that needed done. The council was pulling together nicely, but there were those - former supporters of her father's - that worried her.
Then there was Lesca... once her governess, now her own advisor. She trusted her. She could do little else. Lesca had taught her how to defend herself, and how to fight. The woman was hardly in any sort of physical shape to be a threat, and most of the Baron's old supporters hated the former Widowmaker. She had little reason to distrust her outside of her obvious former loyalty to the Baron, but that had been left behind and she had turned her interests to helping the city. Or so she hoped.
Then there was Jak. Everyone owed him so much but had no idea exactly how to thank him. She had offered him a position with the city's government, but he was still young and had a lot he felt he had to iron out. Not that she blamed him. What her father had done to him was unforgivable and it was something she wasn't entirely sure she would ever be able to come to grips with.
Finally, when the chirping of a communicator drew her attention, the red-head looked over and clicked the device on, listening to the guard who was telling her of an infestation of Metalheads they needed help dealing with. Finally, she grinned as she stood, reaching for one of her guns. "Finally. I did say I needed some stress relief..."
