Name: Jak
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Alignment: Generally good, but for understandable purposes, we'll throw a 'chaotic' in front of the good.
Krimzon Guard Rank: none
Personality: Jak used to be a carefree spirit, fun-loving and happy to adventure around with his best friend, Daxter. But this is no more. Due to some rather unwanted happenings in his life, he's become a much darker person. He gets a thrill from blowing up things, and taking out excess anger on the 'bad guys.' He's hardly what one would call optimistic, and is quite vengeful. He's quick to anger, slow to forgive, and holds a grudge like no other. Despite that though, he's extraordinarily loyal to those who he deems worthy, and in the end, is always willing to do the right thing. Even if his methods towards it aren't all that nice. Daxter's one of the very few people who can actually keep him in line. He's rebellious and, well, a teenager, after all. Though often times he's forced to make choices and take action on things that make him seem far more mature than he is.
In his Dark Jak state, he's hardly anything more than a rampaging monster ready to rip, tear, and otherwise maim and kill anything that gets in his way. Again, Daxter is probably one of the few people fairly safe from him when he's like that, but even Daxter isn't immune to his anger.
Physical Appearance: Jak's fairly short, and like the other Haven dwellers, has long, pointed ears. His hair is longish and mostly yellow, with a darker green nearer his head. He has blue eyes and a green goatee. Usually he's got some sort of pout on his face. He also wears goggles (mostly used when he's racing), and a red scarf type thing around his neck. He has a piece of armor on his shoulder, as well as some leather straps hooked around a metal ring over his chest. This is for carrying various things explained below. He has a blue shirt and khaki colored pants with armor on his elbow and knees. He wears boots that are blue and silver, but mostly are covered by another bit of leathery looking fabric. He also wears blue fingerless gloves. And a Daxter on his shoulder almost all the time.
As Dark Jak, his eye go inky black, and he gets fangs, and turns a sickly grey-purple color. His nails grow long and black into claws, and he also grows a pair of black horns atop his head. He also holds himself more gorilla-like, and snarls instead of pouts. He's also physically a bit bigger, due to extra muscle and ANGER.
Strengths: Jak is pretty much fearless. He's willing to do just about anything asked, if given a good reason... Or if he just feels like blowing something (or someone) up. He's great with various weaponry, and of course has the strength of Dark Jak on his side when it comes down to it. He's also pretty strong physically, is good at wailing on someone if he needs to, and being able to channel eco like he does doesn't hurt either.
Weaknesses: Temper, temper, TEMPER. This kid has the shortest fuse around. He might even beat Torn at it. This often leads him to making rash decisions, and clouding his judgement. The same goes for his vengeful nature. Also, he might be powerful as Dark Jak, but he's also out of his own control. That could mean bad things for the good guys, even if he initially was trying to do good.
History: (dang you Jak, being the main character of the game. *shakes a fist*) Jak once had a pretty simple life. He grew up in Sandover Village, and when he was fifteen, ended up exploring an island he should have stayed away from. He and his buck-toothed, redhead friend Daxter got into a bit of trouble when Daxter ended up falling into a pool of dark eco. Desperate to return his friend to normal, Jak set about on a quest to find the one who knew the most about the properties of dark eco, Gol, and his female counterpart, Maya. Turns out, they were bad guys. And instead of saving his friend, Jak had to drop everything he'd worked for and stop them, saving Sandover. After Gol and Maya's defeat, Samos the sage (the man who had raised him, Jak being an orphan) and Keira, Samos' daughter, through the help of Jak and Daxter collecting small ancient artifacts called Precursor Orbs, they accidentally opened a portal to another time.
Immediately, a rather nasty figure, soon revealed to be the Metalhead Leader, Kor, tried to attack, but instead, Jak and crew were sucked into the portal, and ended up in Haven City, quite far into their own future. Jak, immediately was taken prisoner by the Krimzon Guard, Haven's police force. For two years, he was to be on the wrong end of what was dubbed the "Dark Warrior" project - an effort to create a super-soldier through the use of dark eco. Jak was the only one to survive it, much to the surprise of one Baron Praxis and the KG commander, Erol.
Jak was thankfully saved by Daxter, but not before the eco treatments had taken their toll. His happy persona long tortured out of him, as soon as he was free, Jak swore to kill the Baron for what he'd been put through. Then, letting his anger get the best of him, he transformed for the first time into Dark Jak, scaring the pants (had he been wearing any) off Daxter. The Ottsel was able to calm his friend down, and they escaped.
After escaping, Jak joined a rebel force called The Underground, led by an ex-KG named Torn. It was soon revealed that the Baron had been dealing with the Metalheads, creatures that the Baron had said were the enemy. At the same time, Kor had infiltrated the city and was trying to destroy it from within, as well as kill the supposed heir to Haven's throne (a young quiet boy with a pet crockadog), but Jak thwarted both plans. He struck time and time again against both the Metalheads and the Baron's Krimzon Guard, while doing side jobs for a man named Krew. Krew was a crime lord - until Jak killed him.
In the end, the Baron died, Kor was defeated, and the Metalhead nest was taken care of, and the city supposedly saved. The heir to the throne, they found out, was actually the younger version of Jak himself. Through the help of the Precursors (the deities of sorts of this world), they sent a younger Samos and Jak back in time, so he could grow up in a peaceful environment in order to come back when he was grown to save the city. Quite a paradox.
But that didn't mean that Jak was entirely trusted. The citizens of the town had seen of what he was capable - the destruction he'd caused, the monster he could be. And there's a rapidly growing sense of distrust throughout the city for their savior. And those high up in the ranks are starting to notice...
Extras: Jak carries a weapon called the morph gun. It has four different settings, each with different effects. The first setting is the Scatter Gun. It shoots a concussive wave of red eco at enemies, and while the range isn't very far, it presses enemies back while still causing damage. The second is the blaster, which shoots small bits of yellow eco (think normal bullets) and also has a laser site. It's semi-automatic. The third setting is the Vulcan Fury. This utilizes blue eco, and is a rapid-fire automatic weapon. It still has a laser sight, but due to the rapid fire, is less accurate. The final setting is called the Peacemaker. That uses all previous types of eco to form a rather powerful, wide-spread blast that takes out quite a bit of an area. It's really powerful, but takes a while to charge up, and uses a LOT of energy.
Additionally, Jak carries with him a hover-board, created by Keira. This uses the same sort of technology that the Zoomers use, and is handled much like a skateboard. It makes moving around the streets and other hazardous areas easier, but it lends Jak to easier attack, because he can't use his gun and the hover-board at the same time. It can hover over water and other liquids.
Both the gun and hover-board can be compacted and stored in a pouch on Jak's back.

Sample Post: "Think we got this, Dax?" Jak's voice was a bit gruff, his whispered words disappearing into the darkness. Daxter, for once, didn't answer, as his eyes were trained on too many golden glowing orbs moving among the shadows of the trees. It was dark - too dark, really, to have gone out on this mission, but that's how Jak was. When he wanted to get something done, he'd be damned if he didn't do it then and there. "Yeah, we've got this." A flick of his wrist morphed the gun he had in hand to its Blaster mode, the yellow eco-cartridge giving off an eerily similar light to the Skull Gems the Metalheads carried.
There was a surprised snort to their left, and immediately Jak's almost-crazy grin turned into a determined frown. It looked like their cover was blown... But he didn't seem surprised. Stealth was never his forte. "Let's kick some Metalhead tail." Breaking into a run, Jak wove between the trees of the forest just outside Haven's walls. The other Metalheads were immediately on alert from the sound, but a few of them didn't live long enough to act. Jak's finger was pulled tight against the gun's trigger, and yellow flashes of light were the prelude to many of the creature's quick demise.
Clear out the forest? Hell yeah he'd clear it out. And every single one of those things would know who'd done it too. Jak would make sure of that.
