Two more weeks.
Though it may as well have been two enternities for Liu. Her hard work and many extra hours at Catat's Fantasy was close to paying off. It had taken a week of calculations, but Liu was able to determine how much she would have to work and how much she would be allowed to spend in order to have enough money to not only keep her in her house for the next few weeks, but to afford all the suplies for her latest venture.
It had been....three or four months since her last trip to the ruins outside of Haven City. During that time she can discovered an old cave hidden under one of the old structures. Sadly, she did not have the right supplies for a spelunking trip and had to call it off at the time. Not that the excitement had left her. She had actually bee back in Haven two weeks earlier just to get a head start on her next area of exploration.
Lucky for her she had such a great boss. Liu was employed at Catat's Fantasy, as a bartender / waitress. She enjoyed this job to some extent because it actually let her be sociable with customers and the pay was good. Her employer, Nicky, was very easy-going. She didn't mind when Liu went missing for a month or so on her adventures. As a return favour, Liu worked extra hard for her. She always took up extra hours or went in when another girl was sick. It was a way to pay back Nicky for understanding and a way to earn even more money.
To her boss, Liu was...."the innocent one". If a guy got too clsoe, Nicky was more than happy to send a big bouncer to kick the offender out. That was something the young woman was grateful for. She had some hand-to-hand combat skills, but was only as strong as someone of her size and level of activity could be. Having someone to watch your back was always good.
In light of that, Liu was wandering around the stals in the market place, awaiting her companion for her spelunking trip, also known as her boyfriend. He would accompany her on her trips if his busy schedule would allow. He was usualyl busy, especially with all the repairs happening in Haven. However, upon hearing about the cave, he had decided not to let her go alone. Thus, Liu was wandering around the marketplace waiting for him.
And he was about 45 minutes late.
Well, at least she had the wares of the market to keep her mind occupied, right? Although, it couldn't keep her mind off his tardyness for that long since she didn't want to wander too far from their meeting place.
Well, you couldn't gain anything worthwhile without a little frustration. With that in mind, she turned her attention to the booth in front of her.
