Name: Torn
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good
Krimzon Guard Rank: Commander
Personality: Torn is one of those guys that's big and scary on the outside, but soft and cuddly on the inside. Mind you, he can and will tear you to shreds should you cross him, but his biggest concern is the well being of the citizens of Haven. He's a hard ass, no BS kind of guy who expects everyone to pull their own weight, and will not hesitate to call you out if you aren't up to par. At the same time, he understands the human toll of waging war and holds that no loses are acceptable.
Physical Appearance: Tall and twig skinny. Has KG tattoos covering most of his upper body. Medium-length brown dredlocks. Carries two guns at his side and a knife on his back. Often wears a scowl.
Strengths: Extensive military experience, including battle experience and strategic planning. Has an extensive network of contacts, some of which are not quite legal.
Weaknesses: Often lets his personal emotions get the in way, sometimes compromising missions. No doubt some of his contacts have fallen threw as well, leaving the group hanging.
Brief History: (a mix of canon and personal imagination~)
Torn is the son of an Krimzon Guard and spent his childhood in the Slums. He's seen the best and the worse of Haven and loves every bit of it with a passion. He became a Guard in hopes of doing some good and claimed the ranks with blazing speed and quickly became Commander. However, he became alienated by the Baron and his policies and began to realize the system was horribly corrupt.
After the Baron ordered the Outer part of the city to be abandoned to the Metal Heads, Torn resigned as Commander, no longer able to stand the man's blatant disregard for human life. Not long after, he was approached by Samos and asked to help start the Underground. Torn soon found himself siding with the criminals he once sought to imprison. While not entirely comfortable with this, he knew the real criminal was the man in power.
After the Baron fell, he, Ashelin, and Samos began to reform the city's infrastructure and Torn once again found himself leading the police force, this time making his decisions himself.
Extras:
--Liek totally in luv w/Ashelin!
--Greatly respects Samos, and feels protective towards Keira, in a big brother kind of way.
--Personally, I like to think he and Errol were room mates at the KG academy, if only for the buddy comedy appeal of it. And yes, this has nothing to do with anything.
Picture:
Sample Post:
It felt strangely good to go on patrol. Perhaps it was the fact that he couldn't walk out in the open without the threat of arrest hanging over him for years, but Torn liked to think it was because the city was changing. Everything seemed lighter now, as stupid as that might sound, like that ugly creature that had been sitting on their collective shoulders had finally moved on.
The armor wasn't any lighter, though. Torn shifted under the red metal -- he didn't want to wear the stupid thing, but his advisers (and Ashelin) insisted that these first few transitional weeks were especially dangerous for him, seeing that he was not only one of the men that led the change against the Baron, but was also the new KG Commander. He went along with it, mainly to get them to stop bitching, but he made a promise to himself that moment it was deemed "safe" for him to walk through the street without this damned armor, he would take it off and never put those colors on again.
