Name: Lesca
Age: 36
Gender: female
Alignment: neutral good
Krimzon Guard Rank: advisor to the governor
Personality: A calm, silent, stoic woman, Lesca was a constant companion to Baron Praxis, serving both as an advisor and as an ear when he wanted to rant. She has a quiet temper, and while she may not show her anger with you outwardly, she will retaliate by striking not at the person but at anyone and everyone close to them. Calculating and quick, she was once a great fighter, but an injury received nearly twelve years ago makes it impossible for her to hold up long in a fight. Despite that, she has maintained a decidedly frigid demeanor, becoming one of the most feared figures in the city. Once Ashelin's governess, she has a great deal of hope for the girl and has been subtly influencing her actions in an attempt to nudge her in the direction her father took. Barring that, she may have designs of her own. Not surprisingly, Lesca is a very humorless individual and is rarely - if ever - seen to smile. This effects her relations with others, and most people who find her intimidating do not like to interact with her very much at all. Not that anyone can really blame them. She's a sharp and no-nonsense kind of woman, though despite how loyal she was to the Baron, she often brushes off her time as his advisor as a means to an end and tries to put herself forward as truly wanting to contribute to the city and its rebuilding.
Physical Appearance: A tall, slender woman with dark red hair and dark blue eyes. She is extremely severe in appearance and sometimes looks like she could take on a full-sized tigorilla all by her lonesome, despite how slim she seems. She wears a sort of corset to support a badly injured back and walks with a cane because of her knees. Wears her hair up. Like all current and former members of the Krimzon Guard, sports gray tattoos on her face, ears, and neck.
Strengths: An expert hand-to-hand fighter. When she's feeling good, she's got moves that would definitely cause many to give pause in thought to attack her... again, when she's feeling up to it. She is also a master tactician, knowing her way around people and scenarios better than most people. An exceptional judge of character and pretty intimidating in her own right.
Weaknesses: Due to an injury in the past, her knees and back will lock up and make her unable to do much in the way of moving whenever it rains or when the weather grows humid. It's been even worse as of late, forcing her to walk with a cane and wear a sort of back brace to get around, to the point that she isn't quite as graceful as she once was... nor can she fight as well. Often quite humorless, she has difficulty dealing with people on a large scale. She dislikes animals and is afraid of tight spaces.
Brief History: Lesca joined the Krimzon Guard at a young age... she was only 16. This, of course, was when Damas was still in power. She clawed her way up through the ranks brutally, becoming a captain when she killed her superior officer (he had, according to her, attempted things she did not approve of... and she calmly snapped his neck) and earned the moniker of "Widowmaker." When she was 21, Baron Praxis staged his coup of the city, taking over and naming Lesca as his general.
For a while, things went well. Until an assault on a Metalhead stronghold left Lesca gravely injured, doing extreme damage to her lower back and knees. Unable to return to active duty, Praxis named her as his advisor and placed her as the governess for his then ten year old daughter Ashelin. She taught the girl how to fight and aided her in gaining a basic understanding of tactics. She watched the girl grow with a great deal of pride, being for her a mother that she had never really had. She was quite pleased when Ashelin entered the KG at 16, and continued to watch her improve as she climbed ranks almost as ruthlessly as Lesca herself had at her age.
When Errol became the commander of the KG, it became blatantly obvious that he and Lesca mixed like oil and water. They absolutely despised one another, and when he was killed on the track after a race with the young upstart former prisoner named Jak, she showed absolutely no remorse or sorrow for his passing. She stayed in the palace during the Metalhead attack, but after things were clear, she was quick to swear her allegiance to the new governor of Haven City. Something she managed to achieve the advisor position with her almost strictly because of her history with Ashelin. There are few who trust her even now... not that she cares.
Extras: Lesca has never been married and never plans to be, either. She seems to have her own personal agenda...

Sample Post: The cold was biting, and the chill was something that - while she was used to - Lesca still did not look forward to. She had felt the pain and the stiffness start to set in before it had even really grown as cold as it was now, and the rain had only compounded her dilemma. It seemed the older she got, the worse the pain became at times like this. She steepled her fingers, trying to ignore the throbbing in her back and the aching stiffness in her knees, sitting at her desk overlooking the city. Ashelin had seen to it that the former advisor to the baron had kept at least that of her former self, though the Lurker slave that once decorated the office was long gone. She had an assistant, of course, for days that saw her simply unable to move, but that did little to quell her temper.
She needed to do something. Oh she trusted and believed in Ashelin fully, but that did not mean that the girl necessarily knew what was right for Haven City. And she had little to no idea how to handle the terrorist cells that continued to sabotage the rebuilding effort. Then there was Jak... oh, Jak. Lesca positively loathed the boy, almost as much as she had Errol. He was a loose cannon. He was dangerous and keeping him was a risk to everyone who became involved. Not that she could convince Ashelin of this, no matter how she tried. Perhaps he was the first thorn... the biggest and most lethal one. That was the thorn always removed from the rose first, was it not?
All the advisor to the governor had to do was wait. The time would come, and she would figure out exactly how to handle this little problem... all in due time.
